We choose our concerts based in churches not by faith but because of accessibility, capacity,
acoustics, piano and organ. This church has a Bösendorfer piano, wonderful organ and acoustics.

Fifteenth Anniversary of providing you with our Christmas Concerts by witnessing a breath taking interpretation of songs, arias, operettas and carols with music by Bach, Händel, (Messiah highlights), Mozart, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Gaubert, Lehár, Kálmán and others…along with Christmas Carols in

Exploring the Soul of Chinese Culture through Folk Music
After a successful tour in Australia last year, the China Conservatory Orchestra (CCO) will make their second tour to Australia performing in the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House on Thursday 27 November. The CCO will perform with Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Established in 1964, CCO is acclaimed to be the most devoted and professional folk music orchestra in China. The performance of the orchestra is unique in that it takes its roots from the traditional Chinese folk and opera music allowing the charm of the oriental mystery to blend into the modern folk music style.

Proudly led by the laureate conductor Maestro Kuan Naichung, the concert will feature the renowned Erhu soloist, Song Fei, the Queen of Chinese folk music. Erhu is a traditional string instrument known as the ‘Chinese violin’. It was developed during the Tang Dynasty and has been played for more than two thousand years. The concert will also highlight award-winning musicians Song Fei and percussionist Wang Yidong. Their mastery of Chinese folk music will bring the diverse and fascinating cultural heritage of China to Australian audiences.

CCO features the talents of the China Conservatory. From the Concert Hall of National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing to the Golden Hall in Vienna, CCO has travelled far and wide to transport the charm of Chinese folk music.
