HILARIOUS MUSICAL MISCHIEF ON THE HIGH Cs!
One of the happiest musicals ever written, HMS PINAFORE, comes to town in September
in an all-new production by the comic opera specialists, Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Sydney.
This production marks the re-establishment of Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney (formerly Savoy Opera)
in its original North Sydney base. Handy to the entire city, the elegant and comfortable
Smith Auditorium Lyric Theatre at Shore is the perfect venue, with easy parking and fine facilities.
Directed by Elizabeth Lowrencev with musical director Rod Mounjed, HMS Pinafore stars
Sarah Arnold as Josephine, (“the lass that loved a sailor”), Dean Sinclair as Sir Joseph Porter,
Brendan Iddles as Captain Corcoran, Michael Handy as Ralph Rackstraw,
Anne-Louise Finlayson as Little Buttercup, Gordon Costello as Dick Deadeye,
Anthony Mason as the Boatswain and Ella Arundel as Cousin Hebe.
Plus an 18-piece orchestra and an all-singing, all-dancing chorus singing up a storm on the high Cs!
The season runs Sept 26 to October 4 at Shore’s Smith Lyric Theatre.
Plus preview performances at Bundanoon (13/9) and Narrabeen (21/9)
