WHY TORTURE IS WRONG, AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM by Christopher Durang
“Enough with men needing to kill and blow things up all the time!”
New Theatre is proud to present the Australian premiere of Why torture is wrong, and the people who love them, written by Christopher Durang and directed by Melita Rowston.
Christopher Durang is one of America's most prolific and acclaimed playwrights, whose works include: Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, Beyond Therapy, Baby With the Bathwater, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, and most recently Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play.
He has been described as a social satirist in the great tradition of Aristophanes and Jonathan Swift and Dario Fo and his pen is razor sharp in this, one of his funniest plays.
