SHADOWLAND

The International Theatre Sensation
Shadowland, the ground-breaking new performance by internationally acclaimed dance troupe Pilobolus, is best described as part shadow act, part dance, part circus and part concert.For the first time in Australia, with more than 100 choreographic works performed in over 64 countries, Shadowland will be performing in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth from May - July 2014.

As the first theatrical event of its kind to tour the globe, Shadowland incorporates multiple moving screens of different sizes and shapes to create an evening-length performance that merges projected images and front-of-screen choreography.



The story is a surreal experience of a young girl’s sensational world as she comesof age. Created in collaboration with lead writer for the popular animated series SpongeBob Square Pants Steven Banks, Shadowland is a universal and intimately portrayed experience that is both intensely dramatic and comedic.

It is set to a rhythmic original score by the popular American musician, producer, and film composer David Poe, whose poetic work for Shadowland ranges from ballads to hard-driving rock numbers that lift the audience out of its seats. His much-loved songs illuminate the themes and visuals of this fascinating story and world.

The physical vocabularies of Pilobolus works are not drawn from traditions of codified dance movement but are invented, emerging from intense periods of improvisation and creative play.

Its time to strike up some fun together as we bowl Bollywood style this long weekend on 7 June 2014 on a Saturday at AMF Bowling, North Strathfield.

As the section of the venue is exclusively to us, be ready to grove to the latest Bollywood remixes played by DJ EM, DJ Vitz and DJ Harp whilst you bowl. This unique event has been styled and designed for the first time, so be a part of History.

It is 4 hours of non stop entertainment which includes :

- Two bowling games per person
- Finger Food
- One beer or wine
- Unlimited soft drinks
- After party at the venue after the two bowling games

Fun starts at 8 pm and shall continue till midnight.

Christopher Durang is one of America's most prolific and acclaimed playwrights, whose works include: Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, Beyond Therapy, Baby With the Bathwater, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, and most recently Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play.
He has been described as a social satirist in the great tradition of Aristophanes and Jonathan Swift and Dario Fo and his pen is razor sharp in this, one of his funniest plays.
