“A superb exhibition in every respect. Paul Durand-Ruel emerges as the inventor of the modern art industry”
The Guardian
Based on the Inventing Impressionism exhibition, which recently opened at the National Gallery London (in collaboration with the Musée du Luxembourg, Musée d’Orsay and Philadelphia Museum of Art), EXHIBITION ON SCREEN: The Impressionists and the Man who Made Them, focuses on 19th Century Parisian art collector Paul Durand-Ruel.
It was his continual support, championing, financial backing and refusal to give up that established one of the most loved and recognisable movements in Western art – Impressionism.
EXHIBITION ON SCREEN: The Impressionists and the Man who Made Them features key works by Manet, Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Renoir and Pissarro.
IMPORTANT:
Competition is for NSW only. Screenings on May 30 and 31.
Winners can choose which Sydney site showing the event they go to and when.
The double-pass is collected at the box office (valid ID required).
