Summers can span decades, winters can last a lifetime, but the struggle for possession of the biggest, gaudiest cup in the known world. It stretches from the south and inner west, where teams of impro comedians breed plots, lusts and intrigues, and to the savage eastern suburbs, where armies of latte-drinking ad-libbers prepare to take on the frozen north shore. The kings and queens of Theatresports – history’s greatest comedy improvisers – face off against the young lords and ladies of ad-lib… all of them must play the ‘Game of Games'.

IAMSU is an American Rapper and Record Producer. He is also a member of the production team The Invasion and the leader of the Hip Hop group The HBK Gang. With hits like FAMOUS featuring Dej Loaf and K Camp, Only That Real featuring Sage The Gemini with 2 Chainz and HELLA GOOD featuring Tyga – IAMSU is about to give a knockout performance not to be missed.

Bobby Brackins is a rapper, producer and songwriter from California who wrote Tinashe’s 2 On and co-wrote Chris Brown’s Loyal. He is also the man behind Ray J's I Hit It First. His solo career is steadily moving along with his most current hits Hot Box (which also features Mila J) and My Jam with Jeremih and Zendaya. Bobby is excited to head to Australia and give us his first performance down under.

Nic Nac is an American record producer, songwriter and DJ from California. Producing numerous hits such as Chris Brown’s Loyal, Sean Kingston’s Beat it, Tyga and Chris Brown’s AYO, Omarion’s I’m Up and Pia Mia’s Do It Again. With so many hits to his name Nic Nac is fired up and ready to give us a DJ Set like no other!

When Debussy was only 18 years old, he composed his masterful Piano Trio in G major, which led to his reputation as a young genius.

Chopin composed his Piano Trio in G minor when he was aged only 19. He went on to become one of the most celebrated composers and performers of his day.

Enescu was only 22 when his Serenade Lointaine was composed. He is now known as one of the greatest Romanian composers ever to have lived.

And Ludwig van Beethoven was only 23 when he wrote his masterful Piano Trio in C minor, which is now one of the most-loved classical piano trios.

The Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra presents
Music of peace an war by Holst, Tchaikowsky, John Williams, Sibelius, Peter Sculthorpe and more.

The concert will premiere ‘Remembrance Odyssey’ - a choral and orchestral work specially commissioned by the KPO to commemorate Gallipoli.
Composed by Brendan Collins who worked with librettist Justin Fleming, the piece was inspired by the book “Rallying the Troops”, which was published in 2014 by the Ku-ring-gai Historical Society.
Volume one of this publication gives details of Ku-ring-gai residents – soldiers, nurses as well as administrators - who played a part in WW1. Justin Fleming has selected some of these characters to tell the story.

Director of the Australian War Memorial, Dr Brendan Nelson will attend the performance and will launch the new work. The piece, which explores the meaning that the Gallipoli experience has for us in a modern context, particularly references young people.

Choirs from Barker College, Abbotsleigh and Brigidine College will participate and Phillip Heath will be the narrator, while the solo soprano is Ayse Goknur Shanala, who is of Turkish ethnicity.
The program also includes a number of other works which have been used in movies about war (such as John Williams’ Hymn to the Fallen - from Saving Private Ryan, and Peter Sculthorpe’s Small Town). The conductor will be Steven Hillinger.

Resonance ends its 2015 series with a programme featuring two of the greatest works ever conceived for the piano, performed by artistic director Chris Cartner.

Beethoven marked his op.27 no.2 sonata as a “fantasy”. The haunting effects of its opening movement have earned its “Moonlight” nickname, yet its playful second movement and violently dramatic finale remind us of the exceptional power of Beethoven’s music.
Chopin’s Sonata in B minor was his last major work before his tragically early death. It is within this sonata that we hear the absolute pinnacle of piano composition. The brilliance and depth of the writing lie within its glorious melodies and staggering development of themes. The sonata is a legacy of perhaps the greatest piano-composer of all time.

Complimentary drinks to be served overlooking Sydney Harbour following the concert.
