David Walliams’ (Little Britain) award-winning book comes to life on stage in this brand new production directed by Jonathan Biggins (Pete The Sheep).

It all starts when Chloe, just about the loneliest girl in the world, makes friends with Mr Stink, the local tramp. Sure he smells a bit, but he’s the only person who’s ever been nice to her.

So, when Mr Stink needs a place to stay, Chloe decides to hide him in the garden shed. But Chloe’s about to learn that some secrets have a way of leading to disaster. And speaking of secrets, there just might be more to Mr Stink than meets the nose…

Tickets go on sale today for the Sydney season of the brand new production, Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical.
Sydney siders will be queuing to see the hugely anticipated musical about The Seekers’ rise to worldwide stardom.

Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical plays at the State Theatre from 2 April 2016 following the Melbourne season which commences this December. Tickets on sale this Thursday 22nd October via Ticketmaster.

Celebrating one of Australia’s most loved groups, Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical will tell the remarkable story of legendary pop group The Seekers, the first Australian band to achieve international success.
Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical follows the story of Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley, from their folk and jazz beginnings in Melbourne to their meteoric rise to world pop stardom in the ‘60s, to today.

This brand new musical is produced by Richard East, an originating producer of Mamma Mia!, and Dennis Smith, producer of Dusty – The Original Pop Diva, who are thrilled to be bringing this new production to Melbourne for its world premiere.

Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical, features all their hit songs including The Carnival is Over, I’ll Never Find Another You, Morningtown Ride, A World of Our Own, I am Australian and of course, the Oscar-nominated Georgy Girl.

Two strangers mistake the stage door for the toilet door and find themselves trapped in a play. Unable to leave the stage and faced with an audience, they feel the pressure to perform, but don’t know their lines. To make matters worse, a third stranger enters and dies under mysterious circumstances. PLAYTHING is part homage to and piss-take of the Theatre of the Absurd, part existential dilemma, part philosophical rant, lots of bodily fluid jokes and a murder mystery to boot.

Playwright, Simon Dodd is a professional television comedy writer and the recipient of ten Australian Writers’ Guild Awards (AWGIES) as part of the writing team behind such successful TV series as Good News Week and The Glasshouse.

We are less than five months away from the Rio Olympic Games and many Australian athletes are desperately trying to run qualifying times.

The Sydney Track Classic (STC) is one of the last official qualifying events in Australia and will give Sydney-siders a look at some of our most elite athletes, before they head to South America.

There will be 16 events at the Sydney Track Classic. Some of Australia’s finest athletes will be on show including former World Champion and Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Dani Samuels, who will be trying to throw her way into her third Olympic team.
