Australian premiere of THE DAYS ARE AS GRASS by Carol Hall
Jane Edwina Seymour, who has been enjoying a successful career in LA for the last few years, returns to Sydney to direct the incredible THE DAYS ARE AS GRASS by Carol Hall, a full-length production consisting of six short plays and two solo pieces. The small cast of seven experienced and mature actors play over a dozen characters, exploring the nature of life in their later years – the fragility of what was once certain, the loss of friends and lovers and the surprises of age. Each of the stories is told with a supreme wit and unerring honesty whilst being tender and playful in its celebration of the human condition.

Performing in sensational costumes are Frankie the Spider, Jessie the Gorgeous Butterfly, Hug Bug the Sensational Lady Bug, Feebee the Boogying Bumble Bee, Hopsie the Ballerina Bunny & Snappy the Happy Crocodile
The most interactive and entertaining show ever as The Jitterbugs sing and dance with original recorded music, live instruments (djembe, guitar and harmonica). Even for the kids to play!
The Jitterbugs, with their intimate relationship with the Earth, share culture and wisdom of the plants and animals, offering a new way of living that is bright, colorful and healthy for our future generations.

Chris Gudu & Afro Pamoja - Quick Tix

Their recent concert at this venue totally sold out within days.
Chris Gudu & Afro Pamoja From Bulawayo, Zimbabwe bring the irresistible township jive rhythms back to Django Bar as part of their 2016 international tour, by popular demand.

The band has the musical and spiritual grooves from Chris Gudu’s homeland where he grew up not only playing musical instruments and singing with his family, but actually making the instruments, namely guitars and drums.

Chris Gudu was the co-founder of Matonto, alongside his brother Calvin Gudu, and he is the former leader, bass man and lead singer of the group Jive Kayana, which during its days sold out concerts and created big waves at festivals. His up tempo and exuberant music is what is often referred to as “Township Jive Music” and is better known in Southern Africa as Umbaqanga music which sometimes presents a touch of Afro jazz. Umbaqanga music originates from the streets and shebeens of Southern Africa.
