CCEntertainment’s 16th Annual "Whole Lotta Love" Led Zeppelin Celebration is set to return to the State Theatre in 2018.

This show pools the pinnacle of Australia's musical talent, both vocalists and musicians, to capture the magic and emulate the spirit of Led Zeppelin's signature sound. Inimitable Creative Director, Joseph Calderazzo will lead an all-star 9 piece band, including string section to recreate and reinterpret benchmark releases including 'Stairway To Heaven', 'Black Dog', 'Kashmir', 'Babe I’m gonna leave you', 'Kashmir', 'Battle of Evermore' 'Rock and Roll' and so many more.

Featuring guest vocalists: Steve Balbi (Noiseworks/Mi-Sex), Dallas Frasca (Melb), Frank Lakoudis (Bad Moon Born), Mark Dacosta (Aust Idol) and introducing Nicole Hawkins (Grandhour/Melb).

star in the world premiere season of a joyful new musical play – based on a true story - by Joanna

The Secret Singer is the life-affirming story of a singing
lesson that changes the life of two very different
women. It might just change yours.
Jenny is a 70-something woman who wants to sing in a
different community choir 7 days a week. Her one
problem? She can barely produce a note. When she
bursts into the studio of burnt-out singing teacher
Emjay, the sparks fly. But then something amazing
happens… and neither will ever be the same.
Genevieve Lemon’s screen credits include The Piano and The Dressmaker as well as countless iconic
TV roles. Her stage appearances - which are legion - include Diplomacy, Death of a Salesman,
Mousetrap and Billy Elliot, for which she won the Sydney Theatre Award, Helpmann Award and Green
Room Award!
In The Secret Singer, she plays a disillusioned singing teacher whose life is turned around by a very
unusual pupil, played by Kate Mannix (It Shoulda Been You and The Biograph Girl - on the West End).
What starts as an exasperating relationship becomes transformative for both, as hearts and minds
open and they discover that sometimes you need to lose yourself to find yourself…
The world premiere of this funny, surprising piece - full of wonderful songs - plays for a limited, two
week season at Darlinghurst Theatre Company’s Eternity Playhouse from 28 August.

Set in an isolated former hunting lodge in the Scottish Highlands, Death Knell follows Henry Roth, a famous playwright and his wife Evelyn, as they await the arrival of his new ‘muse’ – a charming and charismatic young actor called Jack Willoughby who is determined to secure a role in the playwright’s latest production.

What starts out as a seemingly innocent audition soon leads to an evening full of twists, turns and eventually . . . murder.

Mixing black comedy and shocks of the highest order, Death Knell reinvents the classic thriller genre and will leave audiences breathless and beguiled right up to the final curtain.

The international blockbuster musical JERSEY BOYS will open its Australian tour in September 2018 at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre.

JERSEY BOYS tells the true-life story and the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons who were one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold over 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits including Can’t Take My Eyes off You, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don’t Cry, which all feature in the musical.

The original Australian production opened to rave reviews on 4 July 2009 playing four years closing in Perth on 30 June 2013, having played to 1.6 million people throughout Australia and New Zealand. JERSEY BOYS is the 12th longest musical in Broadway history and has played to over 25 million worldwide. It has won 64 honours and awards worldwide including the 2010 Helpmann Award, 2006 Tony Award and Olivier Award for Best Musical and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.

Directed by concertmaster Rachael Beesley, the rich and expressive 19th century style of performance
is explored in this unique and engaging concert experience.

Sydney concert starts at 3 pm, there is a pre-concert talk at 2:15 pm. The Melbourne concert is at 7:30 pm, the pre-concert talk is at 6:45 pm.

Madrigalesque: Le Parole is the first in an exciting singer-selected series in which The Song Company feature the a cappella ‘hits’ of the 16th and 17th centuries!

Le Parole or ‘The Words’ focuses on the traditions (both old and new) of the Italian Madrigal and some of its greatest masters:
Giaches De Wert, Heinrich Schütz, Claudio Monteverdi, Carlo Gesualdo, and Luciano Berio – with a few extra surprises along the way!

‘Vocalisation’ is all about the sound and the story. The Song Company comprises Australia’s leading singers,
performing music of all times and places, from the 10th century to contemporary works, and is unique in its stylistic diversity.
The Company remains at the forefront of contemporary vocal music through an extensive commissioning programand collaborations with artists and composers of the highest calibre from around the world.
A longstanding commitment to education sees the ensemble perform regularly in schools throughout the country,
including bringing music workshops to children in regional and remote areas.
For this concert, the ensemble comprises Susannah Lawergren, Jessica O'Donoghue, Owen Elsley, Mark Donnelly & Andrew O'Connor.
