Woollahra Philharmonic Orchestra presents GRANDEUR
The Woollahra Philharmonic Orchestra returns this Spring with a thrilling concert of Mozart, Brahms and Danzia – featuring the exciting talents of two instrumental virtuosos in tandem.
Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Lee Bracegirdle directs the WPO in Mozart's thrilling Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Brahms’ monumental and stirring Third Symphony and a spectacular double concerto, Danzi’s Sinfonia Concertante featuring the internationally renowned clarinettist, Dimitri Ashkenazy and acclaimed Australian flautist, Bridget Bolliger.

After running the gauntlet of Perth and Adelaide Fringes and getting 4.5 stars along the way, this Chicago and Gaulier trained entertainer is going solo this September.

Celebrate Fathers' Day with Dad and Grandpas with a trip down British Comedy Lane....

The Goons are cult comedy entertainment… With high energy and snappy one-liners, you will be quoting these guys for Forever!

This tour de overacting, incorporating lots of sound effects, silly voices and a platoon of CraZy characters, will have you in fits of laughter and drowning in your own tears.

Seagoon, a good-natured and hairy sort, is victim to a terrible weakness… GREED. Coupled with his innate gullibility, Neddie’s covetous nature makes him easy prey to confidence schemes courtesy of the conniving cads Grytpype-Thynne and Moriarty.

Featuring a plethora of characters including the world’s most famous idiot Eccles (yes, even more infamous than Neddie), the squeaky-voiced boy-scout Bluebottle (who reads his stage-directions out loud), Major Dennis Bloodnok a devout coward, and Miss Minnie Bannister the sexy senior citizen who lives in sin with crumbling, fumbling old man Henry Crun.

Art and music blend in dynamic collaboration when Matt Withers & Acacia Quartet present an exciting fusion of Australian works for classical guitar and string quartet in a special Father’s Day afternoon concert on Sunday 2 September at the Independent Theatre, North Sydney.

Hear the winning works of the 2018 Matt Withers Australian Music Composition Competition as the ensemble perform alongside inspirational artworks by Queensland-based artist, Sue Needham.

Richard Charlton, Robert Davidson and the late Phillip Houghton are three of Australia's most respected composers whose music will inspire, move and entertain.
