Put your paws up! A special screening of the delightfully doggy highlights from the Best of Top Dog Film Festival is headed to Moonlight Cinema Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane on February 29.

Audiences and their furry friends are invited to celebrate the canine connection and enjoy this carefully curated collection of heart-warming stories about dogs and their people. From the surfing dog of Huntington Beach, the bus riding pooch of Seattle, a very special rescue dog from South America to the working dogs of Australia, the pull on your heartstring is guaranteed to be strong.

For those without a pooch, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with Assistance Dogs Australia’s seriously cute brood of furry new recruits throughout the night. Donations on the night will help train puppies who will open up the world to someone who is living with a disability.

To top it all off doggos will be treated to a gourmet experience, with complimentary movie snacks on offer courtesy of Black Hawk holistic dog food.

The screening will also mark the first time Perth audiences will be able to bring their dogs along to Moonlight Cinema! So pull up a picnic rug, snuggle up to your pupper pals and enjoy a blissful night of outdoor cinema under the stars.

As a BYO* event, Moonlight gives you the freedom to create your perfect outdoor cinema experience. Graze on a prepped platter, or let Moonlight cater for you with a selection of classic movie snacks, delicious Espresso Martini’s from the Tia Maria bar or more substantial treats from the on-site hot food truck.

The Royal Opera House’s Live Cinema Season returns to screens across Australia with a brand-new program featuring twelve breathtaking live performances of world-class opera and ballet direct from London’s 2019/2020 season.

Audiences in Australia are never far from the action at the Royal Opera House, with select filmed live performances coming to the big screen at 20 Event Cinemas nationwide and 5 Village Cinemas in Victoria and Launceston from November 2019 to August 2020.

The 2019/20 program includes: Peter Wright’s beloved Christmas classic The Nutcracker (recorded from 2016); Ludwig van Beethoven’s uplifting masterpiece Fidelio; a glorious production of iconic classical ballet Swan Lake; and the Opera Australia co-produced Cavelleria Rusticana/Pagliacci, which combines two opera classics in a resplendent re-creation of life in a south Italian village.

This is the fourth screen program, winners can choose the date they would like to attend.

4th Screening: Sleeping Beauty 23 & 26 February

This production of The Sleeping Beauty has been delighting audiences in Covent Garden since 1946. Tchaikovsky’s enchanting score and Marius Petipa’s original choreography beautifully combine with sections created for The Royal Ballet by Frederick Ashton, Anthony Dowell and Christopher Wheeldon. This ballet is sure to cast its spell over anyone who sees it.

The power and diversity of Paul’s vocal talent combined with his articulate stagecraft and ability to engage his audience has transformed him into a highly sought after and in demand Act.

This show is visually spectacular, Paul has collaborated with International Dancer & Choreographer Kylie Wall. With a cast of elite dancers, collectively they combine Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Latin & Ballroom Dance into a showcase of world-class performances.

Paul’s 7-piece band brings to life specialised arrangements of music spanning from the Big Band Swing Era to World Chart Topping Pop classics and everything in between, including selected Original songs of Pauls that have been specifically arranged for this show.
