Eight extraordinary women in one brand new show that will blow your mind!
Neil Gooding Productions & Repercussions Productions today announced the cast of DRUMMER
QUEENS. Joining performer and choreographer Peta Anderson, the extraordinary Australian cast
includes Georgia Anderson, Stef Furnari, Niki Johnson, Salina Myat, Lisa Purmodh, Claudia Wherry
and Ned Wu, with Sasha Lian Diaz as swing performer.
With staging like you’ve never seen before performed by these world-class percussionists,
DRUMMER QUEENS delivers a live musical experience like none other. This remarkable all-female
cast will leave audiences in awe of their skill and inspired by the excitement and energy of this
never-before-seen theatrical production.
“The first day I stepped into the studio as one of eight multifaceted female musicians I knew that
Drummer Queens was something special and I’m so excited to be performing alongside Georgia, Stef,
Niki, Salina, Lisa, Claudia and Ned ”, said choreographer and performer Peta Anderson. “Being both
a choreographer and performer in this brand-new show allows me to explore and create new ways to
push the level of drumming from all angles. As a woman in this female-driven show, I feel so
empowered and inspired by the level of talent in Drummer Queens. and I know that the audience will
feel every ounce of energy the drums and the queens will be giving to them.”
Created and composed by Joe Accaria, with creative direction by Nigel Turner-Carroll and
choreography by Peta Anderson, DRUMMER QUEENS will play at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 6-14
February, followed be seasons at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne from 27 April and the Lyric
Theatre, QPAC from 11 May.

Following the stunning recent success of The Credeaux Canvas, Lambert House Enterprises producer Les Solomon has announced an exciting follow-up production: smart, sexy, funny and provocative: THE SHAPE OF THINGS.
It opens for a five week season at the newly-refurbished Flight Path Theatre in Marrickville from December 29th.

The Credeaux Canvas was Sydney’s first show to open after lockdown and played 11 weeks and 53 shows to enthusiastic audiences and rave reviews.
Solomon’s latest offering The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute (The Mercy Seat, Reasons To Be Happy)
is likewise a smart, funny, well-observed and provocative play – and again toys with questions of art and sex.

The title is a reference to the future of art and the shock of the new to come.
Adapted into a hit film with Paul Rudd, a 2003 STC version of the show starred Brendan Cowell and Leanna Wallsman.
The play has now come to be regarded as a modern American classic.

It’s that time of year again. The amazing Mr Toad and his bonny, boisterous pals are heading back to Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden for the 18th consecutive year to entertain littlies and biggies in Glenn Elston’s outdoor production of The Wind in The Willows.

From Saturday 6 to Sunday 24 January children will giggle and howl at the characters’ mad antics, go on an adventure with Head Chief Rabbit, Ratty and Mole, then join a dangerous mission with the Rat Pack and Badger Patrol to rescue little, lost Portly the Otter from the Wild Wood.

This is interactive theatre at its best and will have the children calling out, “He’s behind you!” and singing lyrics, “Waggle your ears, wiggle your nose,” or the inimitable “Quack quack quackady-quack”. So, pack a picnic, pack the kids and head on down to the riverbank for this rollicking promenade production.
