Sydney Royal Easter Show 2017 Quick Tix

Event Date: 06/04/2017, 09:00 am

Australia's largest annual event!
Hooves, Horsepower and Heritage are some of the main themes as the Sydney Royal Easter Show returns in 2017.

The largest ticketed annual event in the southern hemisphere runs from 6 April until 19 April at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park with a blend of fresh attractions and the traditional family favourites.

Each year the Sydney Royal Easter Show attracts an average of 850,000 visitors and with the 2017 Show coinciding with NSW school holidays, there is every opportunity for that number to be exceeded.
For the first time in 65 years the Grand Parade will be held in the middle of the day at 1pm on Tuesday 11 April.

New attractions include “Little Hands On The Land”, a kid-sized working farm aimed at teaching our children all about agriculture from the crop to the shop.

“The Beast” is being introduced to Carnival at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the first time in 2017, a thrilling Europe-sourced attraction which swings riders 43 metres above the crowd below.

By popular demand the “Man from Snowy River” spectacular returns to Spotless Stadium with each night performances. The very best stockmen and 100 animals combine in a thundering display which brings Banjo Paterson’s iconic ballad of the Australian outback to life.

The RAS has always been very proud of its history and in line with this, for the first time, visitors will be able to wander back in time through the Heritage Pavilion where iconic trophies, decades-old sample bags and other Show mementos are on display.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is all about providing value for money and with 12 hours of free entertainment each day, we believe the Show is definitely the best value in Sydney.

NOTE:
The winner will receive a double-pass to the show delivered in an envelope via post.
The tickets can be used on any day of the show.
The winner of the Quick Tix will not be eligible to win further Easter Show tickets through Ticket Wombat.

Fallen

Event Date: 06/04/2017, 07:30 am

An exciting new Australian work inspired by the history of Urania Cottage.
Sport For Jove Theatre is co-producing with the incredible Melbourne based She Said Theatre, on a new Australian work inspired by the history of Urania Cottage, a home for “fallen” women founded by Charles Dickens.

Set in London 1848, six women have been given a second chance. Their pasts behind them, they have been promised a clean slate on the other side of the world, in the new colonies of Australia.

“All locked away, you said, no one can hold it against you once it’s all locked away.”

Sealed off from the outside world, they cook, they clean, they sing, they sew – they practice the art of being female while they wait for their new lives to begin. But as the date of departure draws near, the women begin to wonder what reinvention will cost them. What will such promises make them do? And what about the fall yet to come, the tumble down the edge of the world to a far-away continent... What is waiting for them? Are they prepared for it? Are they ready? Are they ready?

Developed with the support of Playwriting Australia at the National Script Workshop 2016, and following on from its successful first public reading at the WITS Festival Fatale, Sport For Jove and She Said are excited to bring this imaginative new Australian work to the stage at the Reginald Theatre, Seymour.
