Featuring an enthralling blend of Chinese classical dance, including the dance thousand hand bodhisattvas. This exquisite production transports the audience to the height of the Silk Road trade with impressive backdrops of breathtaking sceneries, Buddhist art and dazzling costumes.

After four years of performance to full houses and enthusiastic audiences throughout Sydney,
the wonderful Cellists of The Metropolitan Orchestra make their much awaited North Sydney debut
at the elegant and acoustically spectacular Independent Theatre on Sunday the 30th of September.
Presented by The Independent as part of its hugely popular “Prelude in Tea” Sunday afternoon concert series,
guests will enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea served from 2:30pm
followed by the sumptuous sounds of TMO’s Cellists starting from 3:30pm.

For their first concert in North Sydney, the Cellists will dazzle the audience with a beautiful choice of music…
from much-loved chamber works to re-imagined popular classics and even some modern pop favourites
- all delivered in a refreshing style to highlight the deep, warm sounds of the cello.

The show is highly interactive and majority of the show will use live audience on stage to create the magic, joy and laughter.

Get ready for nonstop laughter and giggles as you are guided through a new twist on magical entertainment. She has once again created a mind blowing, eye opening experience for kids and families. This is an award winning show (Awarded Most Popular Show of the Year at The Melbourne Magic Festival in 2016) and will engage, entertain and inspire any audience with it's wit and humour, as well as second to none storytelling and jaw dropping magic. From the show the kids will learn the qualities that a kid has and for the adults a moment to reconnect with their inner child and unleash the hidden fun from within.

Come and see the greatest impro comics of the last 30 years on stage with some of the brightest new talent.

Ever since Theatresports came to Belvoir St Theatre back in 1985, Sydney has had a rich history of hilarious comic improvisers and shows. Marko Mustac was there at the beginning as a new young actor and comic, and he rose through the ranks to become one of Australia's most decorated Theatresports players, and most prolific creator of new shows and formats.

For his new show, IMPRO LEGENDS, Marko gathers together some of the greatest impro comics of the last 30 years, and combines them with some of the hottest up and coming players, to create a hilarious night of ad-libbed creativity and laughter.

Over three nights you will see a selection of great players, from Jon Williams, Lisa Ricketts, Ewan Campbell, Michael Gregory, David Callan, Daniel Cordeaux, Monique Dykstra, Linette Voller, John Knowles, Dave Bloustien, Jeremaia Detto, Bryce Halliday and many more.

At the wonderfully relaxed and friendly environment of the Inner-West's own Petersham Bowling Club, you'll have a night of mad, made-up comedy of the highest order, from the best players you'll ever see!

Oz Comic-Con Back in Town
Oz Comic-Con is back in Sydney 29 - 30, at the International Convention Centre, providing NSW’s yearly, ultimate celebration of pop-culture.
Oz Comic-Con is an exciting culmination of multi-genre content, from across the spectrum, with a lot of everything, for everyone – appearances by film and television stars, comic book artists and voice actors; gaming demonstrations and cosplay competitions; creative workshops and master classes; and hard-to-find, exclusive merchandise from vendors that’ll leave convention goers totally geeking out.
Kids can try their hand at comic art, at the kids’ comic artists workshops, or even get into cosplay for the Kids Cosplay Parade. Comic collectors can head over to the comic grading area, and to the main stage for guest panel discussions. Anime fans will have their knowledge tested with trivia, and die-hard cosplayers can kick off their journey to take home the international title, in Sydney’s Championship of Cosplay heat. Gamers will be getting a work-out too, with Couch Warriors, putting their skills to the test in daily tournaments of new and classic titles. And this is only a preview of what’s on offer!
