Coming to the State Theatre Sydney
Two of Australia’s hottest musical theatre talents - Elise McCann (Matilda The Musical, Merrily We Roll Along)
and Ryan Gonzalez (they/them) (Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Jersey Boys) – join Australia’s own musical theatre royalty Caroline O’Connor for these not-to-be-missed concerts. Genre-hopping vocalist Katie Noonan will perform at the Canberra and Adelaide events, and rising star Georgina Hopson (Opera Australia’s Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour, Jagged Little Pill) will perform in the Sydney event, Under the baton of Vanessa Scammell, the symphony orchestras will deliver a program of Streisand’s most memorable songs, arranged by conductor and composer Nicholas Buc and directed by one of Australia’s most versatile choreographers and exciting new directors, Cameron Mitchell.
Celebrating her 80th birthday this year, Streisand is one of the best-selling female artists of all time, with an
unparalleled career spanning six decades. Streisand’s record-breaking 52 gold and 31 platinum albums feature
some of the world’s most loved songs from The Way We Were and Evergreen to Send in the Clowns, You Don’t
Bring Me Flowers and Guilty.
Streisand is a multi-award-winning performer, director and producer of stage and screen, and one of only a few elite artists to hold the rare EGOT (Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar and Tony). She has worked with legendary
composers including Alan and Marilyn Bergman and the late great Stephen Sondheim, whose combined
catalogues of memorable compositions are timeless treasures of the canon.

The hedonistic world of Blanc de Blanc Encore returns to Sydney
The hedonistic world of Blanc de Blanc Encore returns to Sydney in 2023 playing from Saturday 7 January at the exciting new theatre The Grand Electric, Surry Hills.
After its record-breaking world premiere at the Sydney Opera House in 2019 ENCORE sold out to standing ovations Australia-wide.

Strut & Fret, the creative force behind shows including LIMBO, Limbo Unhinged, Fear & Delight and the original BLANC de BLANC bring back the international cast of ENCORE to serve an intoxicating blend of fun, flirtation and acrobatic feats; enthralling audiences with the same addictive blend of acrobatic artistry and risqué revelry that its creators are world-renowned for.

Scott Maidment, Creative Director of the award-winning and boundary-breaking production house, Strut & Fret, says: “We know Sydney audiences are ready and willing for some world-class escapist entertainment and we cannot wait to finally return with one of our hit circus-cabaret corruptions, and in our brand-new Sydney theatre venue, a new first-class theatre experience.”
The star studded, internationally sourced cast with its numerous Cirque du Soleil alumni returns with Felix Pouliot from Canada, aerial duo Spencer Craig (Canada) and Caitlin Marion (USA), Remi Martin (Germany/France), and introducing Rechelle Mansour, Melanie Hawkins from Australia, New Zealand’s Emma Phillips and Léah Wolfffrom Canada.

Audience members are encouraged to embrace the experience, add a little French flair and dress to the theme: white with a touch of sparkle.

Warning: This performance contains strobe lighting, theatrical haze, one tonne of ethically sourced white feathers, adult themes, coarse language, full frontal nudity and references to alcohol consumption. If you suffer from asthma or allergies, please take your medications and your precautions.

Kill them. WooHoo them. Control them. Save them. How long can someone have control over a world before their dirty laundry is reflected back at them?

A work of theatrical grandeur that drags the audience inside of a Windows PC to experience a digital mashup of physical theatre, nostalgic game fantasy and unbridled morbid curiosity.

Our once avid teenage player is now a disillusioned adult. Watch her dictate sims’ personalities, sexuality and humanity, whilst our two-dimensional friends are confined to their single household.

Sims has helped a generation of queer players process uncharted thoughts they didn’t know how to voice. It created a sanctuary to try on different personas, and explore gender and identity. MOTHERLOD_^E is a dark unveiling of the tension between innocent exploration and the malevolent results of playing God unchecked.

The play reimagines the lives of Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a narrative fuelled by power, jealousy, revenge, and symphonies. It reveals Salieri’s inner torment as he grapples with Mozart’s genius and sets out to destroy the brilliant, flamboyant young star. It explores life’s big questions: ambition, legacy, and who among us deserves ‘genius’. It was first performed in 1979 at the Royal National Theatre, London, and went on to play in the West End and on Broadway. It won the 1981 Tony Award for Best Play, and Shaffer adapted it for the 1984 film of the same name directed by Milos Forman, which won eight Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, four BAFTA
Awards and four Golden Globe Awards.
Michael Sheen is a multi-award-winning actor known for his extensive work across film, TV and stage, as well as his charity work supporting emerging writers in “A Writing Chance”. Michael Sheen was nominated for an Olivier Award for his portrayal of Mozart in Amadeus at the Old Vic, London in 1998. He has vast credits in film, television and the stage spanning Hollywood and independent titles.

Returning to the charmed natural amphitheatre of The Haven in Castlecrag
After sell-out shows at the magical outdoor space of The Haven Amphitheatre and the tunnels of The Coal Loader, this ground-breaking company will introduce their fourth show A Midsummer Night’s Dream into their repertoire, including performing at sunrise for the Summer Solstice at 6.30am Thursday morning 22nd December.
Having given dawn performances to ever growing crowds in Kangaroo Valley in April, and at The Haven for Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, the sunrise tribe is a very special thing to be part of. It happens nowhere else in the world.
Their other shows Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest and Macbeth will all play at The Haven Amphitheatre,
satisfying the increasing demand and support from the Community, Council and Castlecrag Progress Association.
The winners will receive tickets to the first show A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
