WHAT IS THE SHOW?

A shock neurological diagnosis sends comedian, marketer, actor, comedy promoter and fundraising manager Dane Hiser on a hilarious deep-dive into “big wellness” and self-discovery – getting close(ish) to finally accepting and loving (yuck!) his true-self and maybe... .just maybe... finding purpose. And it only took 47 years.

WHERE IS THE SHOW?

The Sneaky Possum, 86 Abercrombie St, Chippendale - the super welcoming home of excellent food, a thirst-quenching array of beverages, good vibes and “even gooder” times. Show will be just one hour upstairs, so plenty of time for the inevitable standing ovation, autographs, selfies, and to enjoy that extensive drink range!

WHAT IS DANE HISER?

Stepping to the mic for the first time ever in 2008 with a 45 minute set (and another 30 after the break) in a self-produced show at Petersham Bowling Club (yes you read all that right) - Dane is far more confident on stage than he has any right to be.

He’s gigged with comedy icons like The Doug Anthony Allstars, Tony Martin, Peter Helliar, Matt Okine, Fiona O’Loughin, Aaron Chen, Chris Franklin, Tommy Dean, Merrick Watts, Becky Lucas, Cameron James, Mikey Robins, Lizzy Hoo and Stewart Francis (Can).

Dane featured in Matt Okine’s hit Stan TV series ‘The Other Guy’ as well as in ads for Aldi, Ryobi One Plus and Nissan X-trail among other brands he refuses to promote in this bio unless they give him more cash.

Between 2011 and 2018, Dane ran his own stand-up comedy room – ‘The Laugh Stand/ - in three venues (Kings Cross Hotel, Pelicano, Harold Park Hotel), attracted significant and loyal audiences, and drew countless big-name acts.

Jazz guitarist JC Stylles successfully set out upon his inaugural voyage on his new music venture, Sydney Harbour Sunset Jazz Cruise on Sunday January 18th 2026.
In JC’s answer to a jazz club in Sydney, the Emerald City Harbour becomes his stage, presenting a magical evening cruise with three hours of world class jazz, gourmet canapes and breathtaking sunset views over Sydney’s iconic harbour.

Sydney | March 8 | SYDNEY’S BIGGEST EVER CHILLI FESTIVAL IS HERE!
The biggest ever collection of chilli artisans is gathering at the Entertainment Quarter on Sunday 8th
March, 2026 for the second Sydney Superhot Chilli & BBQ Festival.
Scarlett Habanero is the one-woman powerhouse behind the Sydney Superhot Chilli Festival, and its
sister Queensland Superhot and this will be her 13th chilli festival since starting out in 2018.
Patrons can expect free product tastings all day from the record-breaking 33 artisan stalls who have
signed up to participate in Sydney’s biggest ever chilli festival!
“If you tasted every product on offer on the day, it would take you about 10 hours, so put on your
speed skates and bring a big trolley for all those irresistible goodies you’re bound to find,” said Ms
Habanero.
“There has never been a larger collection of chilli artisans in the history of Australian chili festivals so
Sydney is again proving to be “the home of the best”, she said.
And to celebrate this achievement, ticket prices have been SLASHED, to give the businesses the most
possible patronage on the day.
“When everyone is hiking prices all around us, we are providing some real Cost of Living stress relief
by slashing $10 off last year’s adult entry price, as well as other discounts, “ said Ms Habanero.
The 7 hour program includes dance, live music, three chilli challenges, prizes for costumes and lots of
giveaways.
Hellfire Alley is where you’ll find small family businesses selling a range of creative products from
chilli sauces, oils, chutney, salts, nuts, jerky, honey and much more.
The AfterBurn bar is designed to cool off those hot tongues and to offer chilli beer and chilli cocktails
and four guest distilleries will be there as well.
Enthusiastic amateur cooks can enter the Homemade Heat Competition with their very own chilli
creation.
Prizes for best-dressed Dog in the Chilli Dog Parade, and Best Adult, Couple and Custest Chilli Kid.
